Customer relations at its finest

The 20th Anniversary Customer Engagement Campaign received the sole Gold Quill Award of Excellence for the Category – Customer Relations, and is the only Excellence awardee from among five entries from the Philippines and only 16 countries worldwide that are included in this year’s roster of winners.

The award-winning campaign, which was launched by the Company in celebration of its 20th anniversary in 2016, actively engaged its agency force and clients throughout the year. It was comprised of a client survey, selling drive, and dinner concert, helping fortify the Company’s relationships and achieve its business goals for the year.

Through integrating the drive and the campaign’s other components to the 20th anniversary celebration, Pru Life UK was able to raise outstanding repeat sales, reward its top selling agents, grow its customer database, recognize its milestone clients, reinforce customer loyalty, and further highlight the Company’s “firsts” to its stakeholders.

According to feedback from the IABC Gold Quill evaluators, the Company’s entry showed “strategic and creative thinking that reflects the audience and business needs” and “the ability of communication to influence valid business results.”  Moreover, the entry was lauded for “clearly showing how the celebration linked to business needs and excelled in terms of achieving what it is set out to do.”

More award-winning programs

In previous years, Pru Life UK has received several Gold Quill Awards of Merit for its flagship corporate social responsibility program – the Cha-Ching Financial Literacy for the Youth program – and SAFE STEPS.

The Company first earned a Gold Quill Award of Merit in 2014 for the Cha-Ching Financial Literacy for the Youth Program under the Communication Management Division, Corporate Social Responsibility Category. In 2016, the same program clinched another Gold Quill Award of Merit for the First Cha-Ching Educators’ Congress on Financial Literacy in the Communication Skills, Special Events category. Cha-Ching is the first multi-country, multi-platform program that aims to help parents in Asia teach the money-smart values of earning, saving, smart spending, and donating to children aged seven to 12.

Likewise, SAFE STEPS – a groundbreaking pan-Asian long-term disaster preparedness program – received an Award of Merit in the Communication Management Division, Advocacy Communication Category in 2015. Featuring boxing icon and humanitarian Manny Pacquiao as the SAFE STEPS Ambassador, the informational material focuses on key survival steps for the most common disaster situations in Asia – typhoons, earthquakes, floods and fire, as well as tips on how to prepare a life-saving emergency kit.

Pru Life UK has likewise been awarded numerous Philippine Quill Awards of the local IABC chapter.

The Gold Quill is conferred by the IABC, a global network of communication professionals that aims to advance organizational effectiveness through strategic communication, in recognition of business communication excellence globally. Gold Quill is the only awards program that honors the dedication, innovation and passion of communicators on a global scale.

Pru Life UK’s growing number of accolades reinforces the Company’s legacy, which it has built for 20 years in the Philippines. In 1996, the Insurance Commission granted the British subsidiary the license to operate and sell life insurance products in the country. Since then, Pru Life UK has expanded its reach to over 100 branches in the Philippines, with the biggest life agency force at 17,000 licensed agents, and has emerged as one of the top five life insurers. Pru Life UK holds headquarters in Uptown Bonifacio, Taguig City.
