Muntinlupa residents will now be able to reimagine their future-ready homes when they visit the first-of-its-kind PLDT and Smart Experience Hub with Smart Home setup at Festival Mall in Alabang. Officially inaugurated in May, the flagship store features a wide array of intelligent and integrated devices and appliances powered by the country’s fastest broadband, PLDT Home.
“We are delighted by this latest innovation from PLDT and Smart. The Smart Home model in their Experience Hub is aligned with our goal of gaining Smart City status. We see this as a way of giving our constituents a glimpse on the technological advancements available today and how these will help improve their daily lives,” said Muntinlupa City Mayor Ruffy Biazon.
Customers in the surrounding areas can visit the newly launched PLDT and Smart Experience Hub on the 2nd floor of the Festival Mall Expansion Wing in Alabang, Muntinlupa City. The store demonstrates how various Internet of Things-powered devices and appliances can be supported seamlessly by PLDT Home Fiber. The global benchmarking company Ookla has also recognized PLDT Home Fiber as the fastest home broadband for five consecutive years, providing customers with a reliable and unparalleled experience.
“Launching this store here in Alabang is strategic because it is one of the country’s first fiberized cities as well as one of the first areas in Metro Manila PLDT Home launched its 10Gbps Fiber service,” said Jeremiah de la Cruz, SVP and Head of Consumer Business – Home at PLDT. “The store showcases the many advantages of smart home technology, which include energy efficiency, increased security, streamlined home management, and connectivity. These have always been the dream – especially for us at PLDT Home – for each Filipino home to have.”
Discover the ultimate smart home experience at the E-Hub, where voice instructions and sensors make controlling the home simple. There is a gaming or productivity nook with a work-from-home/gaming desktop setup, complemented by wall-mounted smart accent lights. Stay fit and track progress with smart equipment in the gym, complete with a smart TV and lighting to create the perfect ambiance. The small kitchen space provides smart ovens and tablets to assist in meal preparation while enjoying a complete home entertainment system featuring a 65-inch smart television and speakers bonding time with the family. The E-Hub takes smart home living to the next level.
The PLDT and Smart store has been in the old wing of the Festival Mall since the 90s. It moved to the new wing in 2019, until its revamp as an Experience Hub this year.
As of end-2022, PLDT’s fiber infrastructure reached approximately 1.1 million kilometers, consisting of over 231,000 kilometers of international fiber and around 866,000 kilometers of domestic fiber. This infrastructure also supports Smart’s mobile network, which covers 97% of the population with 3G, LTE and 5G.
These initiatives are aligned with the PLDT Group’s endeavors to provide connectivity to all and support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal No. 9 – Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure.
