Now you can buy Apps in the Google Play Store (and in the Apple App Store) even if you don’t have a credit card. All you need is a Globe SIM, prepaid or postpaid, the GCash App and an activated GCash American Express Virtual Pay. There are two ways to add your GCash American Express Virtual Pay in your Google Play Store account. One is via My Account. The other is when you start to purchase an app.
Reminder: When adding any credit card or debit card in Google Play Store, there’s an initial $1 charge that’ll be refunded after 3 to 5 business days, so make sure that your GCash has enough funds for BOTH the initial charge and the app purchase.
Here’s how it looks like when you add GCash American Express Virtual Pay details via Google Play Store My Account. You need to launch Google Play Store, choose “My account”, then “Add credit or debit card” then enter your GCash American Express Virtual Pay details found at the SMS sent to you when you registered and tap “SAVE”.
On some phones, “My account” doesn’t show up. Another way to add your GCash American Express Virtual Pay details is to “buy” the app first then add the details later. The second and third step is exactly the same. Like this:

Now search for the app you want to purchase on the Play Store, and purchase it. Here’s a sample purchase, you can follow the screenshots which show all the steps.

(4) Type in your Google email password to confirm the purchase and (5) Wait for your app to download.
You will receive notification via SMS once you’ve been charged.
