This sustainable solution upcycles up to 200,000 tons of corrugated boxes each year. By minimizing text and graphic imagery on the eco-packaging, the oil-based ink from color printing, traditionally used on TV boxes, is eliminated to help reduce waste.
  • Solar Cell Remote Control: Samsung introduces its solar-powered remote control that can be recharged by indoor light, outdoor light or USB—a first-of-its-kind innovation that will help prevent waste from a projected 99 million batteries over seven years. In producing the remote, Samsung has innovated its manufacturing process by using 24% upcycled plastic from recyclable bottles.
  • Reducing Carbon Footprint and Improving Energy Efficiency: Samsung further decreases its overall carbon footprint in TV manufacturing by consuming less power and using more recycled materials, across its entire TV line.
