Brother Philippines, along with partners Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) provided support for the students of Iñigan Elementary School in Rodriguez, Rizal as part of its annual Brigada Eskwela activities. The volunteers from Brother and representatives from PBSP visited the school last May to help out before classes begin by bringing students new school materials and supplies, as well as hosting fun and meaningful educational learning activities and games for them.

The highlight of the Brigada Eskwela event was the ceremonial turnover and opening of the school’s upgraded restrooms and new water system that provided both the students and faculty clean water to promote good hygiene. These upgrades were made possible with the help of Brother and PBSP.

“It is our greatest pleasure to help the students and faculty of Iñigan Elementary School have a better, more accommodating, and more conducive learning environment,” says [Glenn Hocson], [Brother Philippines President]. “We chose to help this school because we felt they weren’t getting enough of the support they needed and deserved. We’re glad to do our part in making sure our youth succeed.”

Brother has been participating in Brigada Eskwela initiatives at Iñigan Elementary School, providing young Filipino students with necessary school bags and supplies for seven consecutive years. In doing so, Brother encourages all its companies to institute corporate activities for the betterment of society and the environment.
