z`More Dabawenyos can now watch the free exclusive channels broadcast in crystal clear TV viewing brought by digital terrestrial television (DTT) as ABS-CBN TVplus signal coverage expands in the key city of Mindanao.

The areas in Davao that are now covered by the signal coverage expansion includes Davao City, Island Garden of Samal, Asuncion, Carmen, City of Tagum, Digos, Hagonoy, Kapalong, Laak, Mabini, Maco, Malalag, New Corella, Padada, Panabo, Pantukan, Santa Cruz, Santa Maria, and Sulop.

ABS-CBN TVplus, the country’s first digital TV service rolled out in 2015, allows more Filipino families in Davao to access CineMo, YeY!, Knowledge Channel, and DZMM TeleRadyo, the free exclusive channels of the ‘mahiwagang black box’ where families can watch a mix of entertaining and informative shows seven days a week.

Families who are fond of action and comedy movies from icons like Fernando Poe Jr. and Dolphy can watch movies all day on CineMo. The movie channel offers special programming dedicated to the country’s best action and comedy stars including “FPJ: Hari ng Aksyon,” “Binoe’s Best,” and “Dolphy: Hari ng Comedy.”

Box-office action movies and hit action TV shows also have a place in CineMo with the “CINEMO BLOCKBUSTERS” and “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano Action Marathon” blocks. CineMo is also the home of the country’s first locally produced sitcom on digital TV, “Funny Ka, Pare Ko,” starring Karla Estrada and Bayani Agbayani.

For kid-friendly entertainment, families can tune into YeY!, an all-day children’s channel that features the country’s first locally produced children’s show on digital TV, “Team YeY!” top billed by Sam Shoaf, AJ Urquia, Mitch Naco, Jana Agoncillo, Raven Cajuguiran, and Luke Alford, who share with kids fun, daily activities that would make them embrace and love their childhood experience.

YeY! also showcases hit cartoons like “Sesame Street,” “Peppa Pig,” “Strawberry Shortcake,” “Spongebob Squarepants,” and “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.”

A serving of the latest news and hottest issues are also available on ABS-CBN TVplus via DZMM TeleRadyo, home to award-winning radio shows and journalists, while educational and curriculum-based shows such as “MathDali,” “AgriCOOLture,” “Kasaysayan TV,” and “K-High Science,” among others can be seen on Knowledge Channel.

All these free exclusive channels air on top of ABS-CBN, the home of top-rating weekday and weekend Kapamilya programs and S+A, the all-day sports channel where families can watch together live sports events like the UAAP and NCAA.

The ABS-CBN TVplus box, which is offered at a one-time payment fee, can also capture signals from other channels that transmit in digital and can work with any type of television.

Last month during the Digital TV Summit hosted by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), ABS-CBN expressed its commitment to help accelerate further the shift to digital TV in the Philippines. The expansion of ABS-CBN TVplus’ signal coverage in Davao echoes and strengthens this commitment.

ABS-CBN is the first media and entertainment company in the country to roll out digital TV that has transformed the TV viewing of Filipinos since 2015. It also has a built-in emergency warning broadcast system (EWBS) that alerts TVplus users on natural calamities and gives them safety precautions.

ABS-CBN TVplus is available for a one-time, all-in payment priced at P1,499 at leading department stores, hardware, and TVplus house-to-house agents. You may also text 23661 for free delivery.
