The International Business Group (IBG) of Globe started giving free Globe Traveler SIM cards to all passengers arriving in Manila from other countries. With the free SIM card, OFWs and tourists alike will easily be able to get in touch with their loved ones and connect with friends. All SIM cards are equipped with unlimited calls to Globe and TM subscribers, 20 free text messages to other networks and 15Mb mobile data valid for one day.

“Globe and Philippine Airlines collaborated to be of service to more FIlipinos in and out of the country. Our common advocacy is delighting the international visitors and returning Filipinos by giving them a wonderful experience every time they arrive in the Philippines. As an increasing number of Filipinos fly back in the country to support their families, it is becoming more important for them to find ways to connect to their loved ones as soon as they land,” says Nikko Acosta, Senior Vice President of IBG.

Both companies formally unveiled their partnership during PAL’s 76th anniversary in the aviation business with the recent Philippine Airlines 76th Anniversary Expo with Globe at the Bonifacio High Street Amphitheater. The celebration featured booths from both Globe and PAL that promoted a variety of activities. Globe customers got to learn more about the new Easy Roam 149, where postpaid customers can enjoy unlimited data roaming for five days for only P149.

“The Philippine Airlines 76th Anniversary Expo with Globe is just the beginning of our long-term partnership,” reveals Kevin Hartigan-Go, VP for Ancillary Business Unit of PAL. “Soon, we will be launching more benefits and promos to PAL and Globe customers both here and abroad.”

The recent event is just the first of many collaborations planned by the two companies, both leaders in their respective industries.
