PLDT and Smart’s fixed and wireless services have remained resilient following the onslaught of severe tropical storm #FloritaPH. While there were reports of power outages in areas severely affected by #FloritaPH, no significant service disruptions were detected throughout our network in northern Luzon.

Our Libreng Tawag (free calls), Libreng WiFi (free WiFi), and Libreng Charging (free charging) stations are ready to be deployed in heavily impacted areas to serve the communication needs of residents.

“Our network team has reported that we did not have any Florita-related network outages in North Luzon,” said Cathy Yang, FVP & Group Head, Corporate Communications of PLDT & Smart. “But we continue to assess the impact of the tropical cyclone on our assets. Our quick response teams are on standby ready to address any service issue that may arise. Rest assured that we will assist local government units and disaster response authorities in helping communities that may have been severely affected by the tropical storm.”

Part of PLDT and Smart’s commitment as first-responders is to remain at the forefront of helping those in need especially in times of a disaster.
