Soon you can pay cashless for GrabCar, GrabFood, GrabMart, GrabExpress, and other Grab services with GCash. A partnership between GCash, the country’s leading mobile wallet, and Grab Philippines makes this possible. Grab is southeast Asia’s super app for ride hailing, food delivery, and on-demand grocery delivery. Available by February 2023, this secure and new mode of payment in Grab also allows users to avoid transfer fees, which can go as high as Php 50. Grab customers also get to avail of GCash exclusive deals and special treats when they pay for their transactions using GCash.

“With this partnership, we once again realize our commitment to make the lives of Filipinos better each day by delivering a more convenient, secure, and cost-efficient way to pay for their rides and food and grocery deliveries,” said GCash president and CEO Martha Sazon.

“Grab Philippines is dedicated to empowering our stakeholders in a digital-first economy, and key to this is driving a deeper and wider cashless adoption in the country,” said Country Head of Grab Philippines Grace Vera Cruz. Grab boasts of a strong foothold in markets like the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam.

Before this partnership, GCash and Grab already collaborated – their initial team up provided Filipinos a safe, seamless, and secure digital experience by allowing users to transfer money from their GCash wallet to their GrabPay wallet, and vice-versa. Building on this shared vision of addressing the country’s needs, the new partnership helps create a more cash-light and digitally driven economy.

GCash (G-Xchange, Inc.) is the number one Finance App in the Philippines with 71M registered users who can easily buy load, pay bills, send and receive money, and purchase from move 5.2M partner merchants and social sellers, all from the convenience of their smartphone.
