Private school Smart Achievers Academy-Subic partnered with Globe to tap into the D2L Brightspace Learning Platform in its bid to create a more personalized and student-centered learning experience as it shifts to digital.

Like many academic institutions, the Zambales-based school recognized the need to quickly innovate its education system to support virtual learning in response to the pandemic. To help students adapt quickly and make the new set-up more engaging and interesting for them, the school’s administrators chose to adopt the D2L Brightspace platform through Globe, which gives faculty and students access to dynamic, flexible and easy-to-use tools—creating a more conducive and empowering online learning environment.

Modernizing the learning platform to fuel students’ success

D2L Brightspace, one of the digital learning tools offered by Globe, is a multi-awarded learning platform built with students’ success in mind.

It allows teachers to come up with personalized lessons using its integrated analytics and produce creative and engaging activities through robust teaching tools. It also makes study time more appealing for students with its user-friendly interface.

Built for resilience, the cloud-based platform is easily adaptable in a blended, hybrid and fully virtual classroom setting. It can be accessed from any device so students can keep up with their school requirements and continue learning with agility and convenience.

The highly secure and convenient learning management system has given the school extra confidence to pivot and modernize the way they educate the next generation of learners.

“Through Brightspace, we are optimistic that our students will feel empowered to thrive in the virtual learning set-up. Thanks to Globe, we are fully equipped anytime we need to troubleshoot because of the support we get through the training and workshops that they offer. We look forward to creating more opportunities for greater learning innovation with them and our new learning platform,” said Lera May Benavidez, the school’s assistant principal.

Smart Achievers Academy-Subic is a non-sectarian, private institution that offers educational services from pre-school to Grade 12 using the K-12 curriculum inspired by Montessori philosophy.

“Globe has been a steady partner of academic institutions in the Philippines in advancing 21st century learning and creating resilience in education through our wide array of innovative learning tools and digital solutions,” said Mark Abalos, Globe Segment Head for Education of Globe.
