“PLDT and Smart have also prepositioned generator sets, fuels in drums and lorries in heavily impacted areas, in addition to the command center that was established this afternoon,” said Cathy Yang, FVP and Group Head for Corporate Communications at PLDT & Smart. “Network field service response teams are on high alert and satellite phones have already been deployed and tested.”
PLDT-Smart Foundation and MVP Group’s Tulong Kapatid have already started preparing relief assistance to areas that will be heavily affected.
However, for the safety of our personnel, operations will only commence once #KardingPH has passed.
The Group advises the public to take necessary precautions and heed the alerts and warnings of local governments and disaster response authorities.
