Globe customers in Bulacan are now reaping the benefits of the company’s unrelenting efforts to upgrade its network infrastructure in the province.

Based on the latest data from Ookla®, the mobile Consistency Score™ for the province continues to improve to 62.23 as of Q4 of 2020 from Q3’s 59.43. Mobile Consistency Scoremeasures the number of incidences (viewed as a percentage) of a provider’s samples equal or exceeds both a download threshold of 5 Mbps and an upload threshold of 1 Mbps.

“Bulacan is among our priority areas where we keep improving our network to give our customers a better call, SMS and data experience.  We hope our customers in the area would maximize our upgrades by  using a 5G-enabled 4G LTE SIM and a 4G LTE device,” said Joel Agustin, Globe Senior Vice President for Program Delivery, Network Technical Group.

Globe has installed at least 44 new towers and upgraded 729 sites in 24 cities and towns in the province.

Overall, the company was able to install 1,300 new cell sites and made 11,544 site upgrades last year which resulted in better mobile experience to its customers in different areas in the country.

According to the latest Ookla® data, Globe’s Consistency Score™ in Q4 2020 improved to 60.82% from Q3’s 56.83%. Globe’s regional mobile Consistency Score™ also improved from the previous quarter in 16 out of 17 regions.  The company recorded improvements as high as 10 PPTs (percentage points), with Consistency Scores ranging from 39% and 65% in Q4 2020.
