Premier telecommunications company, Eastern Communications, extends support to Mindanao enterprises with advanced technology and business solutions to help them emerge stronger this 2022.

After its recent expansion to Davao and its entry to more investment locations in Visayas and Mindanao this year, Eastern Communications further fulfills its promise to provide local companies with the business solutions they need.

In line with its commitment to democratize technology across the country, Eastern Communications teams up with Mindanao-based enterprises such as the New City Commercial Corporation (NCCC), Gaisano Malls, and representatives from the Mindanao Business Council, PhilExport, the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) Mindanao, the Aboitiz Group of Companies, and the Banana Growers and Exporters Association. By identifying opportunities in which major Mindanao-based companies can further flourish with, Eastern Communications addresses the connectivity and ICT concerns of more enterprises in the southern islands. These discussions culminated in a Kapihan event, in which the telecommunications and ICT services company invited and met with various companies for one-on-one sessions.

“Today marks a breakthrough for the telecommunications sector, as Eastern Communications makes its mark in the IT Sector. On behalf of the Davao community, the officers, and members of the Davao City Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) welcome Eastern Communications. Its entry into the market provides a boost to the business sector since, with this pandemic, one’s business relies heavily on the digital platform,” shared Dr. Maria Lourdes Monteverde, DCCI President.

“We are overly optimistic about Mindanao businesses thriving in the future and Davao is a key regional market for us, which is why it was vital that we meet face-to-face with our valued clients here,” said Michael Castañeda, Head of Sales at Eastern Communications. “We are incredibly pleased to offer our IDS services to widely known partners like Gaisano and NCCC.”

Eastern’s Internet Direct Service (IDS) is a country-centric and dedicated high-speed Internet service that offers lower latency and better quality of service to customers who require very particular connectivity requirements. Additionally, IDS is ideal for most locations in Mindanao because of its reliable speed.

“For a company like Gaisano Malls, one of the concerns was its IDS requirement. It was through these exploratory meetings we had with the companies that we were able to find the bespoke solution that addresses each of their needs. It is in our company DNA to aid both conglomerates and SMEs after all,” said Edsel Paglinawan, Head of Eastern Communications Product & Innovation.

Eastern had also met with NCCC, another Davao-based conglomerate that holds stakes in wholesale and retail and has positioned itself as one of the country’s largest retail companies. As NCCC’s businesses continue to grow in Davao, so do its ICT challenges to stay more connected.

“For those that are bringing their businesses into the new normal, our personalized ICT solutions can serve as a great start for the digital transformation of companies, including NCCC. We look forward to being alongside them in solving for better operations and expanding their businesses,” said Castañeda.
