Accenture (NYSE: ACN) was recognized as a Top Sustainability Advocate while its Country Managing Director in the Philippines, Lito Tayag, was named an Eminent Leader in Asia in this year’s Asia Corporate Excellence and Sustainability (ACES) Awards 2020.

Organized by the MORS Group, the ACES awards recognized Accenture for its commitment to implement responsible business strategies that impact its people, clients, communities and the environment through various corporate citizenship initiatives in the Philippines and exemplary leadership in the information technology and business process management (IT-BPM).

As a responsible business, Accenture aligns its corporate citizenship programs with priority sustainable development goals under the United Nations and works towards achieving gender equality, decent work and economic growth, industry, innovation and infrastructure, and responsible consumption and production. As a responsible corporate citizen and business partner, Accenture supports various initiatives that engage employee volunteers to give back to the society and help businesses that it serves observe ethical and environmentally-sound practices.

In the Philippines, Accenture has focused its corporate citizenship efforts on three areas namely: upskilling future Filipino talent through technology-enabled learning, protecting the environment by decreasing carbon footprint per employee, and advancing social innovation in local communities by equipping people with relevant skills to build their own business.

“The success of Accenture’s corporate citizenship programs highlights our commitment to our employee volunteers. Their talent, time and resources are integral in bringing our corporate citizenship programs to life and in sustaining our efforts to benefit more Filipinos in need through the years,” said Tayag, who is also the Corporate Citizenship Lead of Accenture in ASEAN.

The ACES Awards also selected Tayag as an Eminent Leader Asia for his leadership skills in driving innovation to build diverse talent in the information technology and business process management (IT-BPM) and in transforming client businesses in the digital age.

In response, Tayag said, “We are extremely honored to be recognized once again by the ACES Awards. These will continue to inspire us at Accenture in the Philippines as we implement sustainable initiatives that reflect our objectives as a responsible business.”

Accenture received Best Workplace and Industry Champion of the Year in Asia in the ACES Awards 2019.
