Globe Telecom empowers the Filipino dream to conquer the global F1 stage
After his stint at the GP2 series in Austria last weekend and before racing in Silverstone, England in July, Filipino junior F1 Driver Marlon Stockinger returns to the Philippines to bring the F1 experience to the country on June 27 for Slipstream 2.0 at the Bonifacio Global City. Together with his Lotus F1 team, Stockinger will once again show Filipino pride in the fast lane by driving his Lotus World series race car zooming around BGC grounds for the public to see.
Filipinos will witness and once again enjoy another rare occasion where an F1 car will be driven by a Filipino icon along the streets of BGC. “This sport may not be as popular as boxing and basketball in the country, but with Slipstream 2.0, we can bring Marlon’s journey and the F1 experience closer to his countrymen,” said Dan Horan, Senior Advisor for Consumer Business at Globe. “We want every Filipino to see and experience the excitement that millions of fans around the world associate with this sport. Aside from that, this is a way for us to really express how we support and empower the Filipino dream,” Horan said.
Marlon Stockinger is the perfect embodiment of Globe and the telco’s leadership journey. With Marlon’s impressive track record and a real talent for racing, Globe is confident that he is well on his way to becoming the first Filipino F1 driver and conquering the global F1 arena. According to Horan, “Marlon’s journey is almost the same as ours. His passion to succeed is as strong as our commitment to continuously give the best services and experiences to our customers and remain on top of our game.”
With Marlon living the life in the fast lane, Globe sees a wonderful opportunity to uphold its aspiration to enable the passions and interests of each Filipino and support their digital lifestyle. “If we can support Marlon in reaching his goal, we can champion every Filipino in living their digital lifestyle. If we can sustain Marlon’s fast-paced and highly-connected lifestyle, we can empower the Filipino digital lifestyle with our innovative offers and global content partnerships,” Horan added.
