The honor and privilege of being called “The City That Never Sleeps” belonged only to New York. Deservingly so because it was, at that time, a bustling metropolis where something was happening every minute of the day. However, in this demanding new era, every city pretty much fits that description. With people busy at every waking moment, the need for convenience stores is at an all-time high.

Metro Manila is a metropolis that never sleeps, and many residents are avid patrons of convenience stores. Responding to the call is an old favorite convenience store from the United States introducing itself to Metro Manila: Circle K.

Circle K is backed by a legacy that can be traced all the way to 1951 when founder, Fred Hervey, purchased three Kay’s Food Stores in El Paso, Texas. With a steady expansion, Circle K was able to establish a solid foothold amongst its competitors in the US convenience store industry.

When Circle K finally landed in the Philippines in Bonifacio Global City, Fort-Dwellers welcomed the US-brand with open arms, thanks in large part to its unique and affordable food offerings, especially those from the K-Station where quick, delicious, and affordable meals are prepared for you on the spot.

Last year, Super8 Retail Systems acquired the master franchise for Circle K. According to representatives from Super8, Circle K will be opening more branches in the coming months.

During the recent Super8 FunFest 2015—an annual event—attendees were able to experience the convenience and quality of Circle K’s food products and services.

The 2015 Super8 FunFest was held at the World Trade Center, in Pasay City over a span of three days where attendees were treated to an extravaganza that embodied the theme of ‘Super Bida, Super Pelikula’ all while a Circle K stall was conveniently located in the hall, offering food and refreshments.

“We are so grateful to our sister company for being part of our annual FunFest,” said Super8 Business Group Director Armand Mendoza. “With our theme this year ‘Buhay Bida, Buhay Pelikula’, Circle K’s convenience store expertise truly made our FunFest attendees feel like ‘Super Bidas’. The quick and friendly service that is further complimented by their low-priced products is in total alignment with what we provide our own customers,” he further noted.
