ASUS ZenPower 10050 mAh Power Bank Review – Compact, Stylish, You Want One

The P795.00 ASUS ZenPower 10050 mAh power bank is about the size of a credit card, and has some advantages over the P745.00 seldom-available-at-Lazada Mi 10400 mAh power bank: it also has the coveted pass through feature that the Mi power bank has (meaning, you can charge the power bank while it charges your phone), it’s slimmer despite the capacity, it comes in five colors (black, silver, gold, blue and hot pink), and ASUS even has protective silicone sleeves for these power banks.

Availability Update – June 26, 2015: The ASUS ZenPower will be available on Lazada starting June 29th, 2015, 12:00nn for the incredible price of  only P795.00.  Available in Gold, Pink, Blue, and Silver

  • The ZenPower can easily charge your ZenFone 2 at least twice.
  • The 10050 mAh ZenPower, by the way, has a pass through feature - you can charge it while it is charging your phone. But I would rather charge ZenFone first, because it charges fast, and then the ZenPower.

The Good

  • Compact, “Zen” design. Easy to hold and slip in one’s pocket or bag.
  • 10,050mAh capacity can charge an iPhone 6 more than 3 times, iPhone 6 Plus more than 2 times, and a Zenfone 2 more than twice (charges a ZenFone 2 in 1 hour and 45 minutes).
  • Max output of 2.4A can charge power-hungry tablet, phablet, and flagship phones.
  • The ZenPower can be charged quickly, with an input of up to 5V/2A. But only if you use a 5V/2A charger.
  • Cheap at P795.00.
  • Choice of colors that go well with your phone. Same with the protective sleeves.

The Maybe Bad

  • No dual charging port.
  • Left to right: Ekopak 13000 mAh power bank, Yoobao Master power bank m4 10400 mAh, Xiaomi 10400 mAh power bank, ZenPower 10050 power bank.
  • Despite how this looks, the Xiaomi and ZenPower have about the same thickness.
  • Of course, if you're going to bring two power banks, you can bring two small ones (for ease of carrying around in your hand) or a large capacity one (but it will be cumbersome to lug around).

When it becomes available, buy it.

The ASUS ZenPower 10050 mAh power bank is compact, stylish, easy to hold, more pocketable than other power banks, has a max output of 2.4A, and is so worth it at P795.00. It comes in five colors and ASUS even has bumper sleeves for it. The size alone means you’ll be bringing this more than you will your other power banks. We just hope ASUS will stock up on supply, because the Mi 10400 mAh power bank is rarely available on Lazada.
